Manno Building

Porto Santo Stefano, Tuscany

The Manno Building is located in Porto Santo Stefano, a coastal town on the peninsula of Monte Argentario, in southern Tuscany. Studio Magnaghi took care of the restructuring of the building, which stands in a narrow and complicated site. A millimetric interlocking project has been developed.

The project has a modern and rationalist imprint, with particular attention to the Mediterranean tradition. Porto Santo Stefano boasts the best shipyards in Italy for the recovery of vintage boats. The lines and materials of the Manno Building have drawn inspiration from this tradition of great beauty and elegance. Thanks to the renovation of the facade, the building has acquired a harmonious line, well integrated into the context of this lively coastal city.
